TNEX Malaysia Sdn Bhd received the grand award in Bank Rakyat’s 2026 Fintech Accelerator Programme (BRFAP 2026). The bank named 11 companies that completed the initiative after receiving 79 applications.

The silver award went to Unbraided AI Sdn Bhd, with Carbon AI Sdn Bhd taking bronze. Bank Rakyat organised the programme alongside PlugAndPlay and the Fintech Association of Malaysia (FAOM), supported by Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet).

Bank Rakyat chief executive officer Ahmad Shahril Mohd Shariff said the initiative sought fintech solutions for specific banking operational challenges. Selected ideas could move on to proof-of-concept evaluation.

He said expert guidance and feedback from banks helped participants adapt their solutions to practical requirements. The initiative also offered Bank Rakyat opportunities to collaborate with fintech companies on its digital transformation.

The remaining participants were PowerCred Technologies, Dataverse Sdn Bhd, Finology Sdn Bhd, IntelliLabs AI Solution, Codebase Technologies, GBG (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Vespid Sdn Bhd and Wazzap Me Sdn Bhd. Before the final assessment, participants received orientation, mentoring and pitch training, alongside workshops and sessions for sharing industry knowledge.
