Indonesia’s Nusantara Capital Authority signed investment agreements on 14 October 2026 for eight residential towers for civil servants and five private developments. The projects cover housing, food production, furniture, dining, commercial space and sports facilities in the new capital.

Under the public-private partnership housing scheme, PT Nindya Karya and PT Nindya Estate Management proposed 288 apartments of 190 square metres each. The Rp2.629 trillion development occupies a 6.84-hectare plot in Planning Area 1A.

A separate housing agreement was signed on 6 October 2026 with PT Intiland Development Tbk through PT Seratus Sembilan Nusantara. Valued at Rp2.819 trillion, that project involves 109 landed homes for civil servants, each measuring 390 square metres, on 9.17 hectares. Completion is expected in the fourth quarter of 2028. Its 10-year partnership provides for two years of construction followed by eight years of service.

The authority reported a total value of Rp1.11 trillion for the five private investments. The planned projects are:

  • PT Indonesia Belt Road High Tech Development Park plans Grand Vista Nusantara, with shops, apartments and offices on 3.57 hectares. Estimated investment is Rp1 trillion.
  • PT Berdikari (Persero) plans a parent-stock layer farm and hatchery on 17.27 hectares, with capacity for around 140,000 chickens. Estimated investment is Rp177 billion.
  • PT FYP Karya Perdana plans Teras Padu, combining sports facilities with supporting commercial space on 0.45 hectares. Estimated investment is Rp20 billion.
  • PT Laziz Nusantara Grup plans an Arabic restaurant, a gelato outlet and a multipurpose building on 0.54 hectares. Estimated investment is Rp10 billion.
  • PT Java Teak Indo plans a showroom for Jepara furniture and an office on 0.2 hectares. Estimated investment is Rp1.5 billion.

Authority head Basuki Hadimuljono said private investment, public-private partnerships and grants were supporting Nusantara alongside state-budget funding. He also said the construction would provide employment opportunities for nearby communities.
