Menarco receives WELL champion award for Taguig tower recertification
The International WELL Building Institute recognised the developer, whose Bonifacio Global City tower now holds WELL Core Gold certification.

Menarco Development Corporation has been given a champion award by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) in connection with Menarco Tower’s recertification. Founder and chief executive officer Carmen Jimenez-Ong accepted the honour in Taguig on November 4.
IWBI said the award recognises organisations that communicate a particular WELL achievement through storytelling and efforts to educate stakeholders. The tower, located in Bonifacio Global City, earned WELL Gold certification in 2019 and now has WELL Core Gold status.
In an interview with GMA News, Jimenez-Ong said she wanted to contribute to the Philippines’ development through her work in real estate. She said Menarco aimed to pursue societal and economic improvements together, linking the health of people with that of the country.
Jack Noonan, IWBI’s head of Asia Pacific, also stressed the importance of healthier buildings in the Philippines. He said healthier spaces could support better health for individuals and communities while helping communities become more resilient.
