Indonesia’s processed food exports rise 13.47 per cent
Exports reached US$4.49 billion in January–August 2026, according to the Ministry of Trade.

Indonesia exported US$4.49 billion worth of processed food in January–August 2026, a rise of 13.47 per cent compared with the corresponding period a year earlier, the Ministry of Trade said.
Fajarini Puntodewi, the ministry’s Director General of National Export Development, announced the figures in a statement during SIAL Food & Drinks Indonesia. She said the increase indicated that Indonesian food products were becoming more competitive internationally.
The exhibition runs from November 4 to 6, 2026, at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran. More than 500 brands representing 16 countries and regions are taking part, alongside producers, suppliers, distributors, retailers and professional buyers.
Puntodewi said the event’s business-to-business platform could help companies develop partnerships, exchange products and technology, and reach overseas markets.
Henri Tan, SIAL Network’s managing director for ASEAN and India, said Indonesia’s food and beverage industry was supported by a large domestic market, agricultural resources and entrepreneurship. He said the network connected Indonesian producers with overseas buyers while helping international businesses explore opportunities in Indonesia.
