Indonesia needs over Rp600 trillion in revenue before year-end
Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara said around Rp990 trillion in spending remained, while urging ministries and agencies to maintain efficiency.

Indonesia must collect more than Rp600 trillion in state revenue during November and December to meet its 2026 budget target, Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara said on 3 November. He put the amount of government spending still to be disbursed at around Rp990 trillion.
Speaking after a limited meeting at the State Palace, Suahasil said he had briefed President Prabowo Subianto on budget performance through October. He described government performance and state spending as broadly on track.
Suahasil urged ministries and agencies to maintain spending efficiency even as budget disbursements typically accelerate towards the end of the year. Faster spending must follow good governance standards and deliver the planned outputs, he said.
The 2026 state budget sets revenue at Rp3,153.6 trillion and expenditure at Rp3,842.7 trillion. Its planned deficit is Rp686.1 trillion, equivalent to 2.68 per cent of gross domestic product.
