Thaco Agri subsidiary wins approval for ₫250 billion Gia Lai cargo depot
Construction of the first phase is scheduled to start in December 2026, with planned annual capacity of 50,000 TEUs.

Gia Lai provincial authorities have authorised Thagri Gia Lai Agriculture Co., Ltd., a Thaco Agri subsidiary, to develop the first phase of the Nam Pleiku inland container depot. The project in central Vietnam carries an investment of ₫250 billion.
The provincial People's Committee approved the investment policy and named the company as developer. Building work is scheduled to start in December 2026. The depot will occupy 10 hectares, with an operating term of 50 years.
The financing plan calls for the developer to provide ₫50 billion in equity and raise the other ₫200 billion from other sources. Designed to handle 50,000 TEUs annually, the depot will receive and consolidate cargo, alongside storage, loading, unloading and transshipment services.
Plans provide for about 20,000 square metres of conventional, refrigerated and bonded warehousing. Another 30,000 square metres is designated for container yards and areas for handling and storing cargo. Supporting works include roads within the site, parking, offices and wastewater treatment facilities.
The depot is part of Gia Lai's proposed inland port network under its revised 2021-2030 provincial master plan, which has a vision to 2050. The plan seeks to make import and export cargo transport more efficient across the province.
Thagri Gia Lai Agriculture was established on October 5, 2021, and has charter capital of ₫2.3 trillion. It is wholly owned by Truong Hai Agriculture JSC, known as Thaco Agri, which belongs to Thaco Group.
