SGX RegCo to handle listing reviews with six-to-eight-week target
From Jan 4, 2027, prospective mainboard and Global Listing Board issuers will submit their prospectuses and listing applications through one regulatory portal.

Singapore Exchange Regulation (SGX RegCo) will assume responsibility for reviewing listing documents from Jan 4, 2027, committing to process complete applications within six to eight weeks. Announced on Nov 3, the change covers companies seeking admission to the mainboard or Global Listing Board.
Applicants previously dealt with SGX RegCo on listing suitability while sending their documents separately to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Under the new arrangement, SGX RegCo’s electronic portal will handle prospectuses, listing applications, document tracking and communications with the regulator.
SGX RegCo said consolidating those interactions should simplify reviews without compromising their quality. MAS will continue supervising the regulatory work carried out by SGX RegCo and retain authority over exemptions from prospectus disclosure requirements.
The regulator will also widen eligibility for appointments to its board and dissolve the Listings Advisory Committee. It said safeguarding the independence of its board’s judgement would remain a priority.
Chief executive Tan Boon Gin said SGX RegCo’s disclosure-based approach would concentrate on ensuring companies provide the information investors need to make their own assessments of stocks.
The changes follow a month-long consultation ending Nov 29, 2025. Respondents, including law firms and issue managers, supported the proposals but also stressed continued improvements and access to practitioner expertise. SGX RegCo plans to seek market feedback during implementation and consider whether further changes are needed.
