Indonesian cryptocurrency exchange Indodax kept deposits and withdrawals suspended for more than 24 hours following increased cyberattack attempts, chief executive and co-founder William Sutanto said on 30 October 2026. He said checks had found no unauthorised transfers or leaks of customer data.

In an update on X, Sutanto said the team had addressed every issue identified during an earlier examination. He said customer funds and data remained safe and that Indodax had added another layer of security to strengthen the platform.

Sutanto apologised for the extended maintenance affecting deposits and withdrawals. He said additional security measures and checks still needed to be completed before those services could reopen.

Indodax initially suspended the services on 29 October 2026 after detecting a rise in attempted cyberattacks. Sutanto said at the time that the team was assessing the platform and taking protective measures, describing the suspension as a security precaution. He said deposits and withdrawals would resume once the company had confirmed it was safe to do so.
