Vietravel Airlines has received aircraft VN-A295 under its fleet development programme for 2026, as it prepares to add international routes and increase capacity for year-end travel and the 2027 Lunar New Year holiday.

The airline’s planned services include Hanoi–Shenzhen, scheduled to begin on November 14, and a direct scheduled connection between Hanoi and Macau, expected from November 29. It is working with partners towards opening ticket sales in November for routes linking Hanoi with Taipei and Da Nang with Kaohsiung.

An executive at the carrier said the fleet addition would improve its control over operational resources during the peak travel period and help it extend its network, especially internationally.

Separately, an agreement signed by Vietravel Airlines and Airbus covers 50 new-generation aircraft, consisting of 20 A220s and 30 aircraft from the A321 family. The companies are expected to sign purchase contracts later, while the delivery schedule starts in 2029.

The carrier has pursued restructuring, fleet expansion and broader operations since entering the T&T Group ecosystem in late 2024. Its current international network includes Bangkok services from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, alongside flights linking Ho Chi Minh City with Shenzhen.
