TeleChoice International said on 26 October that its Malaysian subsidiary, Planet Telecoms Managed Services (PTMS), had secured a supply-chain contract renewal worth around S$1.3 billion from telecoms operator U Mobile.

The Singapore-listed company said the renewed agreement covers three years and includes an option to extend it for another two. PTMS will oversee U Mobile’s entire device supply chain under a fourth-party logistics arrangement.

Its responsibilities include managing stock, running warehouses, fulfilling orders and distributing devices. PTMS also funds device inventories and arranges insurance for deliveries.

The earlier agreement, valued at S$500 million, was signed in February 2024 and is due to end in February 2027.

TeleChoice president and CEO Pauline Wong said the company would put more investment into staff, systems and automation as U Mobile expands its Ultra 5G network nationwide. She also said TeleChoice intended to use that experience to expand its managed services operations across the region.

TeleChoice expects the renewal to improve consolidated earnings per share and net tangible assets per share for its financial year ending 31 December 2027. Its shares ended trading unchanged at S$0.198 on 26 October.
