Danantara outlines more than 40 projects spanning energy and digital technology
The Indonesian portfolio includes 100 gigawatts of solar capacity, a 1-gigawatt data centre and national AI and e-commerce projects.

Danantara is working on more than 40 projects across energy, digital technology, health and other industries, chief technology officer Sigit Puji Santosa said at the Danantara Technology Innovation Investment Forum 2026 in Jakarta on 26 October 2026.
Sigit said the energy programme includes developing 100 gigawatts of solar power and converting coal into dimethyl ether (DME). The coal conversion project is intended to reduce dependence on LPG, which he said receives substantial subsidies. Other energy projects cover nuclear power generation, refineries, electric-vehicle batteries and turning waste into energy.
In telecommunications, Sigit outlined work on sovereign national artificial intelligence, a national e-commerce platform and national cloud infrastructure. The portfolio also includes a data centre with capacity of 1 gigawatt, a national blockchain and trust systems for digital technology.
Projects in the food and health sectors include biological pharmaceutical products, vaccines and raw materials for medicines. Danantara is also working on defence, maritime and aerospace projects, including advanced marine systems and improvements to defence capabilities.
Its advanced-materials portfolio covers rare earth elements, copper, steel plates and other materials. A separate group of projects focuses on semiconductors, including chips and computing devices.
