Trade, investment and technology cooperation are set to feature in Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s October 24–26 visit to Vietnam, according to Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Ha Hoang Hai.

Speaking to the Vietnam News Agency, Hai said both countries want to diversify trade, improve access to their markets and encourage investment in both directions. He said businesses could benefit from better use of the EU–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement and, in future, the EU–Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement.

The countries are expected to sign an educational cooperation agreement during the trip. They also expect to convene the third session of the Vietnam–Poland Joint Committee for Scientific and Technological Cooperation to establish priorities and practical steps for joint projects.

Hai identified artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation and green technology as potential areas for collaboration. He advocated closer ties between universities, research institutions and businesses, alongside more scholarships, exchanges, joint research and technology transfers.

Tourism is another focus. Hai cited growth of more than 40 per cent in Polish arrivals in Vietnam over the past two years. LOT Polish Airlines plans to restore direct Hanoi–Warsaw services in April 2027, while Vietnam allows Polish visitors visa-free stays lasting up to 45 days. The ambassador said these measures were expected to support tourism and business exchanges.
