Petron posts ₱5.4 billion profit as higher costs weigh on margins
Nine-month net income declined 44%, while revenue increased 56% to ₱928.2 billion on higher oil prices and sales volumes.

Petron Corp.'s January–September net income dropped 44% to ₱5.4 billion, with the fuel retailer citing cost pressures linked to the Middle East conflict and lower refining margins in Malaysia.
The company said escalating tensions pushed up crude costs, import premiums and freight charges, squeezing margins. In Malaysia, the continued unavailability of Port Dickson’s product jetty further weighed on refining margins. Operating income declined 28%, reaching ₱19.1 billion.
Higher oil prices and increased sales volumes nevertheless lifted revenue to ₱928.2 billion, a rise of 56%, according to Petron.
Ramon Ang, Petron's chairman and chief executive officer, said the company's portfolio diversification, financial discipline and risk management supported its ability to withstand difficult conditions. He said it remained committed to helping ensure fuel security and meeting customers' needs.
Petron's last traded share price was ₱2.23, up 2 centavos or 0.90% against its October 30, 2026 closing price of ₱2.21. No trading took place on November 2, which had been declared a special non-working day.
