PaninBank reports Rp2.26 trillion profit as lending rises 0.4%
Lower interest expenses supported earnings, while the Indonesian bank said weak loan demand and cautious businesses limited credit growth.

Indonesia’s PaninBank reported consolidated net profit of Rp2.26 trillion for the third quarter of 2026, compared with Rp2.19 trillion a year earlier. Consolidated lending increased 0.4% to Rp142.36 trillion.
A 5.8% reduction in interest expenses to Rp4.81 trillion helped lift earnings. The bank’s net interest margin rose to 4.39% from 4.24% a year earlier.
President director Herwidayatmo said PaninBank was seeking to reduce funding costs by changing the composition of customer deposits. Current-account deposits grew 1.56% to Rp13.55 trillion through September 2026, while higher-cost time deposits fell 5.91%. Current and savings accounts represented 40.9% of deposits, up from 40.0% in December 2025.
Herwidayatmo attributed limited lending growth to credit demand that had not fully recovered, businesses delaying decisions and lending rates that remained relatively high. He said the bank hoped further growth in current and savings accounts would help improve its net interest margin.
Total capital stood at Rp54.26 trillion, with a capital adequacy ratio of 36.65%, against 37.45% in the corresponding period of 2025. Its loan-to-deposit ratio was 90.06% on 30 September 2026. The gross non-performing loan ratio improved to 3.04% from 3.16%, while the net ratio stood at 1.13%.
Consolidated assets reached Rp232.66 trillion, an increase of 2.7% from Rp226.64 trillion a year earlier.
