Indonesia attracted realised investment totalling Rp3,923.2 trillion from October 2024 to September 2026, Investment and Downstreaming Minister and BKPM head Rosan Perkasa Roeslani said on 22 October 2026. He said the investment provided employment for 5,485,944 people.

Data from the Investment and Downstreaming Ministry/BKPM showed an increase of about 31 per cent from October 2022–September 2024, when investment was approximately Rp2,995.1 trillion. The rise amounted to around Rp928.1 trillion.

The geographical breakdown showed Rp2,031 trillion invested outside Java, representing 51.8 per cent of the total. Java's share was 48.2 per cent, worth Rp1,892.2 trillion. By origin of capital, domestic investors contributed Rp1,998.7 trillion, compared with Rp1,924.5 trillion from foreign investors.

Rosan disclosed the figures after reporting to President Prabowo Subianto during an economic meeting at the State Palace in Jakarta. He said the government would keep promoting investment that supports downstream processing and industrialisation and benefits the national economy.

The government is also integrating licensing systems across 28 ministries and agencies to provide domestic and foreign investors with greater certainty about procedures and timelines. Rosan separately stressed the importance of certainty to investor confidence, saying the government was working to reduce uncertainty surrounding licensing, timing and the investment climate.
