Bank Indonesia will keep policies permitting 0% down payments on property and new motor vehicle financing in place until 31 December 2027. The central bank announced the extensions on 21 October 2026 following its Board of Governors meeting.

Governor Destry Damayanti said property loan-to-value and financing-to-value ratios would remain at up to 100%, enabling banks to finance purchases with down payments starting at 0%. Eligible properties include landed houses, flats, shophouses and office houses.

Access to the property provision is restricted to banks that satisfy specified criteria for non-performing loans or non-performing financing. Destry outlined the conditions at a press conference in Jakarta.

For vehicle lending and financing, the minimum down payment will stay at 0% across all types of new motor vehicles, Destry said. Both policies were previously scheduled to end on 31 December 2026; the extensions cover 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027.
