Indonesia expands home renovations to 400,000 homes
Housing Minister Maruarar Sirait also reported that 34 roof-tile MSMEs in West Java had met Indonesian National Standard requirements.

Indonesia’s home renovation programme has grown to 400,000 homes this year from 45,000 last year, Housing and Settlement Minister Maruarar Sirait said after meeting President Prabowo Subianto in Jakarta on October 26.
The government is also widening access to subsidised homeownership through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP), which offers affordable financing for home purchases.
Sirait reported progress on support for clay roof-tile producers in Majalengka District, West Java. He said 34 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) had achieved certification under the Indonesian National Standard (SNI), with production reaching 2.4 million clay roof tiles.
The initiative provides mentoring and certification to help businesses expand production and meet quality requirements. Sirait said the housing programme seeks to support regional economies by giving priority to locally made materials, with products from West Java used within that province and those from Central Java used there.
He also said Prabowo was paying attention to preparations for ASRI, a programme focused on safe, healthy, clean and beautiful surroundings. It is being developed to improve residential environments and encourage more participation by local businesses.
