PSEi climbs 2.13% as bargain hunters return
Gainers outnumbered losers 104 to 66, while trading in more than 1.12 billion shares was worth ₱9.52 billion.

Philippine equities advanced on October 27, 2026, with the Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) finishing at 5,761.19. The benchmark added 120.01 points, or 2.13%, as investors sought bargains after three consecutive sessions of losses.
The All Shares index also rose, ending at 3,213.96 after gaining 52.84 points, or 1.67%. Market breadth was positive: 104 issues advanced, 66 declined and 76 held steady. Trading involved more than 1.12 billion shares worth ₱9.52 billion.
Luis Limlingan, head of sales at Regina Capital Development, said the rise was likely a technical rebound, with investors buying following the sharp three-day slide.
Limlingan nevertheless expected investors to remain cautious in subsequent sessions after the peso reached ₱64 per dollar. He said the currency level had prompted concerns over imported inflation, increased costs for companies and possible pressure on earnings, which could constrain further stock market gains.
