LPI Capital Bhd earned RM96.82 million in net profit for the quarter ending September 30, 2026, down 15.7 per cent against the year-earlier RM114.83 million. The company blamed reduced earnings from its investment holding segment. Revenue, however, advanced 1.1 per cent, reaching RM555.52 million against RM549.31 million as general insurance revenue increased.

Over the nine-month period ending September 30, 2026, net profit totalled RM263.21 million, an 11.1 per cent decrease from RM295.97 million a year earlier. Revenue reached RM1.64 billion, compared with RM1.57 billion, with general insurance providing the main contribution to the increase.

In its filing to Bursa Malaysia, LPI Capital said sustainable underwriting profits would take precedence over premium expansion and market-share gains. It will strengthen risk segmentation and technical pricing, alongside reviews of loss, expense and combined ratios across products, customers, channels, regions and agents. The group said artificial intelligence adoption would support more accurate pricing, better risk monitoring and stronger underwriting decisions.

The insurer described Malaysia's growth outlook as broadly resilient, citing technology-related exports, investment and robust domestic demand. It also flagged external risks including the West Asia conflict, fluctuating energy prices, uncertainty over trade and disruptions to supply chains.
