Indonesia’s government provided Rp53.15 trillion in productive financing from August to October 2026 to support grassroots entrepreneurs, farmers and fishers, Antara reported. More than 2.1 million recipients received funding under the effort to expand financing access and support community economic activity.

At the 2026 National Coordination Meeting of the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD) in Jakarta, President Prabowo Subianto made a symbolic presentation of loan agreements to five representatives of recipients. The agreements represented loans ranging from Rp5 million to Rp400 million.

The meeting also included a briefing to Prabowo on the launch of the National Council for Family Well-Being (DNKK). Created under Government Regulation No. 42 of 2026, it succeeds the National Council for Financial Inclusion (DNKI), which had operated since 2006.

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the council would put families at the centre of national policy. Its three priorities are households’ financial well-being, their ability to withstand economic shocks and their financial security over the long term.

Prabowo chairs the council, while Hartarto is executive chairperson. Financial Services Authority (OJK) Board of Commissioners Chairperson Friderica Widyasari Dewi serves as vice chairperson. Deputy executive chairpersons include Bank Indonesia Governor Destry Damayanti, Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara and several other cabinet ministers.
