AICAP announces Vietnam robotics partnerships targeting demand for 1,000 units
The agreements cover a local commercialisation platform, procurement and university research, with applications ranging from cleaning to industrial robotics.

Vietnam’s AICAP Group Joint Stock Company has unveiled robotics agreements that include centralised procurement aimed at meeting anticipated demand for up to 1,000 robots. The partnerships were presented on October 26 in Ho Chi Minh City during the Green Growth Show.
The procurement agreement is with the China Robotics Industry Development Alliance (CDRA). In a separate arrangement, Hong Kong-based AIBRAIN and AICAP will create a platform for the Vietnamese market covering the sale, servicing and operation of robots.
Responsibilities are divided among the partners: CDRA will draw on its membership and international resources to source robots, technologies and related products. AIBRAIN will match products with market requirements through its integrated platform, while AICAP will organise local applications, commercial channels and implementation partners.
Planned applications include cleaning floors and providing continuing services in hotels, malls, offices and industrial parks. The collaboration also extends to university teaching and research, alongside demonstrations and interactive activities at tourist sites and cultural events.
A further agreement brings together AICAP, CDRA and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH). It aims to link academic work with business requirements, with CDRA connecting technology, capital and supply chains to support research, testing and integration of robotics solutions.
AICAP chairman Do Thanh Son said using robots effectively required knowledge, skilled people and sustained technical assistance beyond equipment purchases. The event included demonstrations featuring 30 robot models.
