Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. (MPTC) said on October 27 that it had received regulatory clearance to collect the second tranche of toll adjustments on the CAVITEX R1 Expressway Extension from October 28, 2026.

The Toll Regulatory Board approved charges of ₱103, ₱207 and ₱310 for vehicles in Classes 1, 2 and 3, respectively, MPTC said. They apply to the seven-kilometre stretch between Zapote in Las Piñas and Kawit in Cavite.

The adjustments follow approval of petitions submitted in 2020 and 2023 by CAVITEX Infrastructure Corporation and the Philippine Reclamation Authority. Those applications concerned periodic revisions scheduled for implementation in 2021 and 2024, respectively.

MPTC said the approved changes were split into two stages to ease the impact on motorists. Collection under the first stage began in October 2025.

According to MPTC, more than 50,000 motorists use the extension each day. The company also said CAVITEX would soon connect with CALAX through the CAVITEX-CALAX Link, which it expects to shorten journeys between Southern Luzon and Metro Manila.
