Shareholders of Vietnam’s Taseco Air Services JSC elected Sojitz executives Hisashi Teshigahara and Tomohiro Ota to its board at an extraordinary general meeting. Separately, the board approved an interim dividend for 2026, payable in cash at ₫2,000 per share.

The new directors will serve out the 2022-2027 term, replacing Lars Kjaer and Kim HongJin, who represented investment funds PENM and STIC. In September, Japan’s Sojitz bought nearly 14.93 million shares from those funds for approximately ₫1.053 trillion, giving it a 27.64% holding. Taseco Group remains the controlling shareholder with 51%.

The dividend represents a 20% payout and is estimated to cost around ₫108 billion across nearly 54 million outstanding shares. It will be financed from retained earnings recorded as of September 30.

Management said Taseco Airs and Sojitz plan closer cooperation on retail, duty-free operations and food and beverage services. They expect Sojitz’s supply chains and brands to help widen the selection offered at Vietnamese airports.

As of October 31, consolidated revenue stood at ₫1.72 trillion, nearly 80% of the annual target, while pretax profit was ₫408.9 billion, about 95% of the goal. The company forecasts full-year revenue between ₫2.08 trillion and ₫2.1 trillion, below its ₫2.15 trillion target. Pretax profit is expected to reach ₫490 billion to ₫500 billion, exceeding the plan by 12-14%.

Taseco Airs operates 142 outlets across six Vietnamese airports and aims to have around 150 by year-end. It also plans to start operating an airline catering facility at Long Thanh International Airport in 2027. The airport is under construction, and the catering facility is designed to produce 25,000 meals daily.
