Solarvest Holdings Bhd has named Joseph Wong Aik Peoy CEO, engineering & operations, and James Lee Chung Min chief energy transition officer. The group said the appointments support its expansion into storage, grid modernisation and intelligent energy solutions alongside clean energy generation.

Wong will oversee engineering and operations as Solarvest takes on projects of greater scale and complexity. His priorities include delivery schedules, cost control and an AI-powered operating framework. Planned automation will support reporting, project tracking and the early identification of risks.

His experience spans nearly two decades in renewables, oil and gas, and major infrastructure. He previously held leadership positions at an integrated energy group and an international engineering, procurement and construction company.

Lee will oversee the energy transition strategy, with responsibilities covering new technology, industry engagement and regional market development. His priorities include building an integrated energy platform and developing Solarvest’s position in selected international markets.

Lee has 16 years of experience in Malaysia’s renewable energy sector. He has contributed to national technical standards and consultations on renewable energy frameworks, and serves as deputy president III of the Malaysian Photovoltaic and Sustainable Energy Industry Association.

Davis Chong Chun Shiong, Solarvest’s executive director and group chief executive officer, said the appointments combine project delivery expertise with technological capabilities to support the group’s growth.
