Bangkok’s flood-hit Siam Amazing Park is considering its future amid buyer interest in its property, while some attractions could resume operations by the end of December. Operator Siam Park City executive Wuthichai Lueang-amornlert outlined the developments in an interview reported on October 20.

Wuthichai confirmed enquiries from more than 10 interested parties about the land, advertised at approximately ฿10 billion. Bangkok Biz News reported that potential buyers include Thai and overseas investors considering either the land or the business. A transaction has yet to be concluded.

The park suspended operations on September 26 following severe flooding. Founder Chaiwat Lueang-amornlert put the financial impact above ฿500 million, covering repairs, support for employees and other costs.

Wuthichai expects repairs to allow some rides and water attractions to return in December, though full restoration could take approximately six months. The scout camp has reopened after sustaining less damage and has taken school bookings. Neither a firm reopening date nor the attractions set to return has been announced.

Advisers had favoured selling because the property's value was high compared with the park's earnings, Wuthichai said. However, the family is also weighing whether it can preserve the founder's aim of making international-standard attractions accessible to Thai families. Should a sale proceed, it might seek arrangements to protect employees.
