i-City unveils 500-unit housing project designed for domestic robots
The developer has not disclosed home prices or long-term technology costs. A showroom opening is planned for January 2027.

i-City has unveiled a residential concept whose first development comprises 500 units, combining AI with robotics, automated home systems and wellness technology. Called AI Living @ i-City, the concept centres on the i-Ris residential tower.
According to the developer, provision for domestic robots has shaped the tower’s design, including routes through the building, service spaces and infrastructure. An AI companion sharing the i-Ris name is intended to give residents control over household functions and access to authorised services and technologies suited to their preferences.
Neither unit prices nor details of future technology maintenance and upgrade costs have been disclosed.
A digital marketing campaign begins in October 2026. Datuk Firdaus, chairman of lead marketing agency Firdaus & Associates, said it would explain potential residential applications, including security, care for elderly people and lifestyle management.
The developer plans to open a residence showroom in January 2027 within the AI World Experience Centre. Prospective buyers will be able to view selected features there. The centre, created with Chinese robotics company AgiBot, exhibits more than 100 robots.
