PT Bank MNC Internasional Tbk. (BABP) recorded a Rp2.74 trillion year-on-year decline in time deposits at the end of September 2026, according to its financial statements. Separately, Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK) sought to reassure customers following complaints about access to their money.

Time deposits dropped 24.35 per cent to Rp8.50 trillion. Total customer deposits stood at Rp11.32 trillion on 30 September, down 17.13 per cent from Rp13.66 trillion a year earlier.

The decline was partly offset by current-account deposits, which increased 51.01 per cent to Rp1.20 trillion. Savings deposits fell 0.51 per cent to Rp1.62 trillion.

Some customers had reported transaction and withdrawal difficulties on social media. Addressing bankruptcy rumours in Makassar on 3 November 2026, OJK’s chief executive of banking supervision, Dian Ediana Rae, said its oversight had found no serious problems at MNC Bank, including solvency issues.

Dian said OJK hoped the bank would promptly resolve any technical or liquidity problems behind unsuccessful withdrawals. He asked customers to remain calm and maintain contact with the bank while the problems were being addressed.

MNC Bank reported net profit of Rp46.63 billion for the first nine months of 2026. Lending increased 8.38 per cent year on year to Rp12.02 trillion from Rp11.09 trillion, according to its financial statements.
