Global investors are being sought for Indonesia’s technology-led industrial development at a Jakarta forum scheduled for October 26–28. Sovereign wealth fund Danantara is organising the 2026 Danantara Technology Innovation Investment Forum, where its directors will outline portfolios spanning six sectors.

The fund’s chief technology officer, Sigit Puji Santosa, who also chairs the forum, said Danantara would present a roadmap to develop talent and build industries. He pointed to the country’s mineral wealth, domestic demand and access to markets elsewhere in Southeast Asia as reasons for investors to participate.

Expected participants include economic leaders, specialists and executives from international technology companies. Portfolio presentations will cover areas including energy, advanced materials and semiconductors. Santosa said discussions would examine how technology and innovation could support industrialisation.

According to Santosa, the gathering is part of Danantara’s longer-term approach to developing industries through investment, innovation and domestic resources. He said the fund would pursue follow-up work on partnerships, memorandums of understanding and prospective projects, with results assessed by what is built after the forum.
