Lao and Vietnamese groups sign pact for property and farming projects
Nearly US$30 million is planned for the two developments in Laos, with implementation scheduled for 2026.

Supchaleun Group of Laos and Vietnamese company Viet Nga Group agreed on October 23 to develop a Vientiane property complex and a smart farm, Vietnam News Agency reported. The memorandum, signed in Vientiane, covers combined investment of nearly US$30 million, with implementation planned for 2026.
The property development, Supchaleun Central Tower, will occupy 4,600 sq.m in Vientiane. Plans call for two linked buildings, each rising 15 storeys, housing apartments alongside offices, shophouses and other commercial facilities. Amenities will include restaurants, outdoor cafes, fitness services and electric vehicle charging stations.
Investment in the complex will exceed US$21.2 million. Completion is expected to take 2.5 years, while revenue is projected at about US$25 million during its first five operating years.
For the Smart Farm, an initial 94-hectare phase will involve investment exceeding US$8 million. It will integrate high-tech agriculture with ecotourism and a circular economy model. Facilities will include workshops, 3,000 fish and shrimp ponds, and fruit trees covering 40 hectares, supported by solar power and advanced water filtration.
The farm's catfish system is expected to provide Vientiane with one to two tonnes of market-ready fish daily. Plans also include a coconut-growing area of 40 hectares connected to a processing plant. Organic sludge and fishery by-products will be made into biofertiliser. Average yearly net profit is forecast at nearly US$930,000.
Viet Nga will act as general contractor. Chairman Nguyen Quoc Viet said the company would manage planning, design, construction and completion, comply with Lao regulations and deploy skilled personnel and modern construction technologies.
