Foreign direct investment in Da Nang reached US$681.55 million during January–September 2026, about 2.87 times the amount a year earlier. The city is seeking more investment in high-tech production, manufacturing, processing and supporting industries as it pursues double-digit economic growth.

Da Nang now has 1,162 foreign-invested projects, representing approximately US$11.28 billion in registered capital. Its investment promotion efforts favour large projects that use modern, automated or semi-automated technology to make high-value exports, while restricting projects carrying high pollution risks and those limited to processing.

Among recent expansions, Karcher Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd. has opened the second phase of its cleaning equipment plant at Tam Hiep Port and Logistics Industrial Park in Nui Thanh commune. Investment in this phase is around ₫484 billion. The factory project occupies 6.26 hectares and has registered capital exceeding ₫985 billion.

Karcher Group Executive Vice President Thomar Wolfgang said the company plans to expand its workforce from around 300 to 1,000 over the next two years. He linked the expansion to local business conditions, skilled workers and assistance from city authorities.

Phan Thai Binh, vice chairman of Da Nang’s People’s Committee, said investors increasingly need cleared sites with infrastructure ready for use. Beyond land prices, he said, they consider dependable utilities, logistics, skilled workers, supporting industries and simpler procedures.
