Capital.com plans to begin taking on Singapore clients in early 2027 after receiving regulatory approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Singapore will be the trading platform’s first regulated market within Southeast Asia.

MAS awarded the Capital Markets Services licence to Capital Com Securities (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., the company’s local entity. Its scope includes dealing in securities and over-the-counter derivatives contracts.

The company said preparations for the launch include adapting its services and platform to local requirements. Clients will undergo identity checks using Singpass MyInfo and must complete verification before trading. Two-factor authentication will be required when they sign in.

Capital.com said its Singapore offering will include educational resources, market analysis, charting tools and controls such as stop-loss orders. It also plans to explain financial instruments and risk mechanisms within the app.

Tony Lim will lead the Singapore entity as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director. His most recent position was chief executive at IG Asia. He brings more than 30 years’ experience in Singapore’s capital markets, including previous positions with SIMEX, Singapore Exchange, DBS Vickers Securities and Saxo Capital Markets.

A new office at 9 Battery Road, Raffles Place, houses local staff responsible for marketing, client services, operations and compliance.
