Grab’s financial services unit turns adjusted EBITDA positive
The segment generated US$201 million in revenue as lending expanded, while Grab increased its full-year revenue and adjusted EBITDA guidance.

Grab’s financial services unit achieved its first quarter of positive adjusted EBITDA, posting US$12 million for the third quarter of 2026, the company said. That compares with losses of US$28 million a year earlier and US$15 million in the preceding quarter.
The unit’s revenue climbed 124 per cent year-on-year to US$201 million. Grab attributed most of the increase to lending by GrabFin and its digital banks, with Indonesia’s Superbank and US investment platform Stash also contributing. The company’s earlier target was to break even in the second half of 2026.
Loan disbursements rose 115 per cent from a year earlier to US$1.9 billion for the quarter. By the end of September, the gross loan portfolio had grown 200 per cent to US$2.7 billion, against US$900 million a year before.
The portfolio increase partly reflected the consolidation of Superbank from June; excluding that bank, growth was 115 per cent. Grab reported that non-performing loans, defined as those overdue by at least 90 days, represented 2.6 per cent of the portfolio. Expected credit loss reserves were equivalent to approximately 2.4 times non-performing loans.
For the wider group, revenue reached US$1.11 billion, up 27 per cent, while adjusted EBITDA advanced 73 per cent to US$237 million. Grab increased its 2026 revenue guidance to between US$4.15 billion and US$4.20 billion, alongside a higher adjusted EBITDA forecast of between US$790 million and US$800 million.
