Thailand sets diesel support at ฿3.90 per litre in new fuel fund schedule
B20 diesel will receive ฿5.82 per litre from 1 November 2026, while the committee says the changes do not directly determine pump prices.

Thailand will introduce revised fuel fund contributions and subsidies on 1 November 2026, following a decision by the Oil Fuel Fund Committee. Support is set at ฿3.90 per litre for regular high-speed diesel, ฿5.82 for high-speed diesel B20 and ฿1.32 for gasohol E85.
The committee said the changes concern payments into and out of the fund, rather than retail prices charged by service stations. The same schedule covers locally produced fuel and imports for domestic consumption.
The contribution rates, all per litre, are:
- ฿7.81 for benzene
- ฿0.35 each for gasohol 95 and gasohol 91
- ฿0.22 for gasohol E20
- ฿0.10 for kerosene
- ฿1.50 for premium high-speed diesel
- ฿1.00 for high-speed diesel whose biodiesel content falls below the required standard
- ฿1.20 for low-speed diesel
- ฿0.06 for fuel oil
Diesel blends falling below the biodiesel standard require a Department of Energy Business certificate approving the characteristics and quality that fall short of requirements.
The schedule also governs refunds and repayments when fuel becomes exempt after a contribution or subsidy has already been made. The applicable rate is the one assigned to that fuel category. For exports, the revised rates apply if the original rate cannot be established.
Excluded are benzene destined for ethanol blending to produce gasohol, and base diesel destined for biodiesel blending to produce regular high-speed diesel or B20.
The changes appear in Notice No. 181, dated 30 October, which cancels the 29 October Notice No. 178. Finance and Accounting Bureau director Pailin Fungkiat signed for the Oil Fuel Fund Office’s acting director.
