Sunway Construction unit wins RM920.8 million in additional Johor works
The data centre contract covers mechanical, electrical and plumbing fit-out work, with completion targeted for the first quarter of 2028.

Sunway Construction Group Bhd said its wholly owned subsidiary, Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd, has been awarded approximately RM920.8 million in additional work on a data centre development under way in Johor.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing, the group said a multinational technology corporation headquartered in the US had issued the letter of award for variation works. The scope covers extra fit-out work involving mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
The letter also authorises the subsidiary to begin the work, which the group aims to finish in the first quarter of 2028. No shares will be issued or allotted for the contract, leaving share capital and substantial shareholders’ holdings unchanged, it said.
The group expects no immediate material impact on earnings per share, net assets per share or gearing for its financial year ending 31 December 2026. However, it anticipates a positive earnings contribution from that financial year onwards, provided no unforeseen circumstances arise.
