Kee Ming Group Bhd said its subsidiary, Kee Ming Electrical Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM44.17 million electrical works contract for a hyperscale data centre in Puncak Alam. Completion of the subcontract is expected by July 30, 2027.

The award came from a third-party contractor that specialises in integrated mechanical and electrical solutions, the company said. The scope covers supplying and delivering electrical equipment, along with installation, testing and commissioning.

General electrical work will begin once the letter of award is accepted. Work on the main building’s electrical systems has a separate trigger: the contractor must issue a notice to proceed.

Managing director Liew Kar Hoe said the project expands Kee Ming’s data centre portfolio and supports its pursuit of higher-value engineering work. He said the group would continue seeking opportunities in data centres, high-voltage and interconnection facilities, and industrial and commercial developments.

Kee Ming reported an outstanding order book of RM206.40 million as at June 30. Since its Feb 12 listing on Bursa Malaysia’s ACE Market, the group has announced six project awards worth RM182.23 million in aggregate.
