Shareholders of Indonesian telecommunications company PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFI) approved Fadel Muhammad as president commissioner and Shannedy Ong as president director at an extraordinary general meeting. Both appointments took effect when the meeting closed, the company said.

Fadel replaces Hashim Djojohadikusumo. After his appointment, Fadel relayed that Hashim had stepped down because of other commitments, particularly his work as a presidential special envoy and other duties.

Previously a commissioner at the company, Fadel has also served as Indonesia’s minister of marine affairs and fisheries and governor of Gorontalo. In a company statement dated 21 October 2026, he said the supervisory board would exercise careful oversight and follow good corporate governance principles in the interests of all shareholders, including public investors.

Ong previously held the roles of director and chief commercial officer. Before joining the company, also known as SURGE, he was country managing director of Qualcomm Indonesia, following an earlier position as vice president at Ericsson Indonesia.

The post-meeting board line-up lists Doni Satiaji Soetadi as independent commissioner. Andrew, Yune Marketatmo and Mohammad Mustaghfirin serve as directors alongside Ong.
