CapitaLand Malaysia Trust reported net profit of RM47.02 million for its third quarter, up from RM34.69 million a year earlier. The reporting period ended on Sept 30, 2026, according to its filing with Bursa Malaysia.

Quarterly revenue increased from RM116.04 million to RM126.54 million. The trust attributed the rise to positive rental reversions, scheduled rental increases across most properties, and income from industrial and logistics assets bought in 2025. Net property income reached RM79.4 million, a year-on-year increase of 14.9 per cent.

Property operating expenses totalled RM47.1 million, an increase of RM200,000, or 0.4 per cent. The trust cited higher utility costs after the automatic fuel adjustment tariff shifted from a subsidy to a surcharge, alongside an increased provision for doubtful debts.

Finance costs fell 7.9 per cent to RM22.9 million. The trust said interest savings came mainly from refinancing medium-term notes in Q2 2026 and resetting some fixed-rate loans at lower rates during the first half of 2026.

For the nine-month period ending Sept 30, 2026, net profit reached RM136.82 million, compared with RM107.24 million a year earlier. Revenue for that period rose from RM352.14 million to RM376.98 million.

The trust said it would prioritise management initiatives to improve retail property performance while pursuing acquisitions that add value and enhance yields. It expects its industrial and logistics portfolio to provide greater income diversification. As at Sept 30, 2026, total assets stood at RM5.6 billion, with market capitalisation of about RM2.1 billion.
