Indonesia’s state-owned food logistics company Perum Bulog says it has prepared rice assistance for 33.2 million beneficiaries but cannot begin distribution until the Social Affairs Ministry supplies the recipient list.

President Director Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani said the government had issued an assignment letter authorising the programme’s third phase. Bulog had also readied the rice stocks and packaging, he said in a statement received in Makassar.

The assistance covers October through December 2026. Beneficiaries are to receive a monthly allocation of 10 kilograms, or 30 kilograms each over the three-month period. The nationwide programme aims to help households cover basic food needs and reduce pressure on their spending.

Ramdhani said he hoped the ministry would provide the names within one or two weeks so deliveries could start soon. Bulog said distribution could proceed in line with applicable procedures after the list arrives.

The company also manages the Government Rice Reserve (CBP) and runs the Food Supply and Price Stabilization (SPHP) programme as part of its role in maintaining rice availability and stable prices.
