Prabowo says single-channel export plan aims to curb revenue losses
The proposed system would put state-owned DSI in charge of monitoring and channelling Indonesia’s exports.

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto said plans to channel exports through PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI) were intended to protect national wealth and reduce losses in state revenue. He discussed the policy at a full cabinet meeting at the State Palace in Jakarta on 21 October 2026.
Prabowo said smuggling, transfer pricing and the reporting of export values below their actual prices were continuing. He described action against those practices as necessary for the nation’s survival, saying Indonesia’s wealth was not staying entirely within the country for its people to enjoy.
Under the planned single-channel system, state-owned DSI would monitor and channel exports. Prabowo said he hoped the arrangement would strengthen export oversight and curb the revenue losses he had identified.
The plan had previously been announced at a full cabinet session at the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) on 20 May 2026, coinciding with National Awakening Day. Prabowo said every faction in the MPR had voiced approval for the proposal.
