Philippine equities rose on November 4, 2026, with the benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) adding 70.75 points, or 1.26%, to finish at 5,964.92. Bargain-hunting helped the market recover after weakness in earlier sessions.

Luis Limlingan, head of sales at Regina Capital Development Corp., described the advance as a technical rebound, with investors seeking bargains in selected heavyweight index stocks.

Limlingan said positioning before the announcement of official inflation figures, scheduled for the following day, also supported sentiment. Market participants were awaiting signals about the country's inflation path and possible implications for the BSP's monetary policy.

The wider All Shares index finished at 3,185.15, an increase of 25.31 points, or 0.80%. Trading involved more than 663.84 billion shares worth ₱6.95 billion. Despite the gains in both indices, declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones: 97 fell, 94 rose and 61 were unchanged.
