The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) projects Philippine inflation at 7.1% to 8.1% for October, leaving open the possibility of an increase from September’s 7.2%.

In its forecast issued on October 30, 2026, the central bank identified domestic fuel prices, electricity costs and transport fares as likely sources of upward pressure.

However, the BSP said favourable supply conditions could bring down prices for rice, vegetables, meat and fish, partly countering those pressures.

The bank said it would monitor incoming inflation and growth data and continue assessing how developments in the Middle East affect the country’s inflation and economic outlook.

Official inflation data for October are due from the Philippine Statistics Authority on November 5.
