Microlink wins RM59.58 million extension for passenger screening system
The Home Ministry's additional award raises the contract value to RM137.92 million, with work continuing until Nov 5, 2027.

Microlink Solutions Bhd has reported a further RM59.58 million award for its wholly-owned unit, Microlink System Sdn Bhd, to continue work on the Immigration Department's Advance Passenger Screening (APS) system. The company told Bursa Malaysia that the Home Ministry granted the contract extension.
Running for 12 months from Nov 6, 2026 until Nov 5, 2027, the extension takes the contract's value to RM137.92 million. Its duration now totals 36 months, compared with the initial 24 months.
According to Microlink, the added scope includes application services for bringing additional airlines onto APS, alongside infrastructure services. It also covers software licence renewals and APS maintenance and support.
The first award, worth RM78.34 million, dates to November 2024. That work covered designing and developing APS, supplying and installing the system, then integrating, testing and commissioning it.
A supplementary agreement with the ministry will formalise the extension, Microlink said. Contract terms also require the subsidiary to furnish a performance bond.
