PT Mitrabahtera Segara Sejati Tbk (MBSS) has announced a share repurchase programme with a maximum budget of Rp200 billion, covering the period from 22 October to 31 December 2026. In a disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange, the company outlined plans to buy up to 42,169,641 shares, or 2.41 per cent of its issued shares.

No approval from a general meeting of shareholders will be sought for the buyback. Transaction costs and brokerage charges are included in the budget. Funding will come entirely from internal cash, excluding public-offering proceeds, borrowings or debt of any kind. MBSS said the purchases would not compromise its capacity to meet obligations as they fall due.

The company listed several ways to deal with the repurchased shares within 30 days after the programme is completed or its allotted period ends. It could sell them through the exchange or privately, cancel them by reducing capital, use them for employee, director and commissioner share ownership programmes, or pay for certain transactions.

Further alternatives include conversion of equity securities, proportional distribution to shareholders, or another method authorised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). MBSS also said a resale following a price increase could yield a profit.
