Indonesian exchange lowers 2026 IPO target to 15 companies
The exchange is targeting 25 listings in 2027 and sees potential candidates emerging from manufacturing investment and restructuring within Danantara.

The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) has cut its target for initial public offerings in 2026 to 15 companies, compared with 50 previously. President director Jeffrey Hendrik said the exchange still saw opportunities to attract listings despite market challenges.
Speaking in Jakarta on 28 October 2026, Jeffrey said those challenges might not ease, but the exchange would continue working to develop potential listings. BEI has set a target of 25 companies for 2027, and he expressed hope that better capital market conditions would support companies seeking to list.
Jeffrey identified industrial investment and corporate restructuring within Danantara as possible sources of new issuers. He said government efforts to develop industrial estates and encourage manufacturing investment could create opportunities for companies needing funds to raise money through IPOs. Some companies formed through Danantara restructuring could also become listing candidates, he said.
BEI's original 2026 target included six large-capitalisation offerings under its lighthouse IPO category. The criteria specified a market capitalisation of at least Rp3 trillion, a public shareholding, or free float, of 15 per cent, and a minimum public offering value of Rp700 billion.
