A new website for Indonesia House of Beans (IHoB) Japan aims to help Indonesian coffee producers reach potential Japanese buyers. Bank Indonesia and the Trade Ministry introduced it at the Specialty Coffee Association of Japan (SCAJ) 2026 event, held on 14–17 October.

The launch forms part of a joint effort by the government and Bank Indonesia to widen Japanese market access for Indonesian coffee and cocoa through IHoB Osaka. At the event, the central bank and its partners promoted coffee products from 20 micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and facilitated contacts with Japanese coffee businesses.

Bank Indonesia said in a statement dated 29 October 2026 that its Tokyo office and the ministry had established IHoB Osaka at SCAJ 2025. The hub operates through Euki Nusantara, founded by Yuki Onishi, whose business covers Indonesian coffee and cocoa production, trading and exports.

Euki Nusantara’s commercial network connects the hub with prospective customers, including Japanese roasters, importers, distributors and café owners, according to Bank Indonesia. Its work includes exploring partnerships, exchanging market-demand information and identifying products suited to Japanese consumers.

The initiative also covers cross-border digital payments. Bank Indonesia said Euki Nusantara offers JPQR payment facilities at its Osaka café and introduces other café operators in Kansai to cross-border QRIS, with the aim of making payments easier for Indonesian visitors.
