Property buyers and borrowers purchasing new motor vehicles in Indonesia can continue to access financing without a down payment through 31 December 2027, under a policy extension announced by Bank Indonesia. The decision came at the central bank’s board of governors meeting on 21 October 2026.

Governor Destry Damayanti said the property rules permit loan-to-value and financing-to-value ratios of up to 100%. They cover landed houses, flats, shophouses and office-houses, allowing eligible banks to finance purchases with no initial deposit from borrowers.

Access to that property facility remains conditional: banks must satisfy specified criteria concerning their non-performing loan or non-performing financing ratios. Destry outlined the requirements at a press conference in Jakarta following the meeting.

For motor vehicle lending and financing, the minimum deposit remains 0%, covering every category of new motor vehicle. Both policy extensions run from 1 January to 31 December 2027, replacing the previous expiry date of 31 December 2026.
