CelcomDigi workforce to receive AI and 5G training through Huawei partnership
The three-year arrangement includes leadership development and opportunities to gain Huawei qualifications at associate, professional and expert levels.

CelcomDigi Bhd employees will be offered training in artificial intelligence, data analytics, 5G and cloud technologies through a three-year collaboration with Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. The companies said the partnership seeks to build digital capabilities within the telecommunications group's workforce.
A memorandum of understanding provides for Huawei Malaysia to make advanced training, leadership programmes and industry-recognised qualifications available to staff. The companies aim to help employees adopt emerging technologies and support business transformation.
Huawei Malaysia chief executive officer Simon Sun said the training would use the company's global learning resources and talent development framework, with programmes tailored to CelcomDigi's business requirements. Subjects will include executive digital leadership, business growth enablement and digital transformation.
Staff will study industry applications and innovation frameworks, alongside opportunities to pursue Huawei qualifications at three levels: associate, professional and expert.
CelcomDigi chief executive officer Albern Murty said continuing to invest in staff was essential to adapting to technological change. The companies have previously worked together on leadership development, professional qualifications, technology-sharing sessions and large-scale learning activities.
