Chandra Asri ends share buyback early, plans replacement programme
The Indonesian petrochemical company said it would change the buyback period and funding allocation after stopping its existing programme on 28 October 2026.

PT. Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA) ended its share buyback programme on 28 October 2026, ahead of the scheduled 31 December 2026 finish. The Indonesian petrochemical company said it planned to carry out another buyback with a new period and a revised funding allocation.
According to its disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange, the company stopped the existing programme at the close of the exchange’s second trading session on 28 October. Management cited the planned changes to the buyback period and allocated funds as the reason for ending it early.
The original programme was scheduled to run from 19 October to 31 December 2026, with a maximum allocation of Rp1 trillion. It allowed purchases of up to 0.92 per cent of the company’s issued shares, or about 800 million shares.
Chandra Asri said stopping the buyback had no material effect on its operations, financial condition or ability to continue as a going concern.
