Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) plans a sustainability bond sale of at least ₱5 billion, with scope to increase the offering, the Ayala-led lender said in a disclosure.

The peso-denominated securities, named BPI Sustainable Impact Building Our Legacy Bonds, or SIBOL, will carry a fixed interest rate and mature in 2028. Their term will be one year and nine months. BPI has not announced the interest rate.

Subscriptions are scheduled to open on November 23 and close on December 4. The bank expects issuance and listing on the Philippine Dealing & Exchange Corp. on December 16. BPI Capital Corp. and ING Bank N.V., Manila Branch will jointly arrange and sell the bonds.

The sale will be the third tranche of BPI’s ₱200-billion Bond and Commercial Paper Program. BPI said the money would finance or refinance qualifying green and social projects within its Sustainable Funding Framework.

Separately, BPI recorded net income of ₱48.9 billion for the first nine months of the year, a decline of three per cent from ₱50.5 billion in the corresponding period of 2025. Loan growth, increased fee-based revenue and business activity across its main segments supported earnings.
