Indonesia's Bank Mandiri posted a 20.7% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rp45.5 trillion through the third quarter of 2026. The bank said at its virtual press conference on 23 October that credit growth, increased digital transactions and better operational productivity supported the result.
September lending on a bank-only basis totalled Rp1,605.8 trillion, representing growth of 16% from a year earlier. Third-party funds reached Rp1,750.2 trillion after rising 17.7%. Assets at the close of the third quarter amounted to Rp2,404.1 trillion, an increase of 20.1% year on year.
Within its loan portfolio, corporate credit grew 22% to Rp700 trillion. Loans serving related business ecosystems, including small and medium-sized enterprises, micro businesses and consumers, rose 9% to Rp174 trillion. Non-subsidised micro credit increased 12.9% to Rp31.2 trillion, with the bank reporting that this financing covered 37 provinces.
Operating efficiency improved, with the bank-only cost-to-income ratio moving from 43% a year earlier to 36.1% in September 2026. Over the same period, its bank-only gross non-performing loan ratio eased from 1.03% to 0.98%, and the special mention loan ratio fell from 3.35% to 2.88%.
Other reported measures included non-performing loan coverage of 243% and a cost of credit of 0.55%. Bank-only capital adequacy stood at 18.4% in September 2026, which Mandiri said supported continued expansion under prudent banking principles.
